Role Purpose:

We are looking for a talented, skilled and highly qualified Customer Service Representative with previous experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.  The successful candidate will report to the Supply Chain Manager to ensure the quote and order process is timely and accurate, and to purchase materials at the right cost, within the required timeframe.  The focus of this role is to be the customer’s first point of contact to provide information and updates as needed, as well as soliciting client feedback, in order to maintain and create a positive and lasting relationship with assigned customers.

Preference will be given to those with purchasing experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Client Requisition Processing:

  • Ensure customer files are saved and organized in compliance with Microart document control standards.
  • Ensure customers’ requests for quotes are processed within the following timeframes:

Create templates on same day quote request is received

Reply to “Consigned customers” within 24 hours

Response for “Boards only” within 48 hours

“New Customers” response within 3 days

“Turnkey orders” within 5 days

  • Track obsolescence and NCNR (Non-returnable, non-cancellable) components; convey reports to customers, and provide solution or alternative.
  • Ensure customers’ purchase orders are processed daily, and delivery is confirmed within 24 hours.
  • Update and ensure the accuracy of Dynamic data:

Client information – Address, contact names, products sold, special requests.

Sales Order, Production Order, Finished Goods Item Card is complete and updated.

  • Respond to all client enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify large volume customers, and bring to the attention of your manager.
  • Proactively solicit and take action on customer feedback.

Procurement of Materials, including:

  • Verify customers’ most up-to-date information on file, and import BOMs.
  • Ensure material orders are placed in a timely manner, committing to your LPIH (Last Part in House) date.
  • Update MSI BOM on the file server to reflect spending.
  • Apply JIT inventory methodology, and reduce stocked inventory.
  • Perform MRO (Maintenance, repair and operations) purchasing on an ongoing basis.

Other duties may be assigned, as determined by the management team.



  • Candidates with purchasing experience in the electronics industry are highly preferred
  • 2 – 3 years customer service work experience in manufacturing environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Experience with MRP systems (ideally Dynamics)
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel skills)
  • Effective communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Solid organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Dedicated, team-oriented and professional attitude; enthusiastic and willing to learn
